A few things worth knowing.
Do I keep my current phone number?
Yes. People continue calling your existing number. You use your carrier’s call-forwarding controls to send incoming calls through RingPass. Setup and cancellation steps depend on your carrier; supported carriers will be listed before signup opens.
Do callers need an app or a secret code?
No. Callers use their ordinary phone keypad. The screening prompt tells them which digits to enter. Your chosen code is a simple interaction check, not proof of the caller’s identity.
Will RingPass stop every unwanted call?
No screening service can promise that. RingPass helps reduce automated interruptions by asking callers to complete a keypad check. Any caller who completes it can reach your phone, including unwanted human callers or automated systems that can follow the prompt.
What happens if I don’t answer?
With RingPass, the caller hears your personalized unavailable announcement and is asked to text instead. With Plus or Pro, a caller who passed screening can leave a message after an unanswered, declined or failed connection. Calls that don’t pass screening cannot leave voicemail.
Will it ring with my phone locked or in Focus?
RingPass supports incoming calls while your iPhone is locked and the app is in the background. Your iPhone needs an internet connection. iOS Focus settings can silence or reject a call; RingPass does not override them. Deliberately force-quitting the app can affect incoming-call delivery.
What does Pro do with voicemail?
Pro adds a text transcript, a short AI summary, message search and reminders you can set for a callback. Transcripts and summaries may contain errors, so the original recording remains available until you delete it or its retention period ends. Phone callbacks use the regular iPhone Phone app.
